Phonetically pronounced:
Cefan is a traditional melon grown in Turkey’s Southeastern town of Siirt and one of the most interesting melons we have ever grown for the ANATOHUM Project. Unique, small to mid-size fruits range from oval to round in shape and have a dark green rind color with green speckles. Flesh is light green.
Flavor is very unique and a refreshing mix of sweet and sour which we think would compliment a scoop of vanilla ice cream remarkably well. This is a melon for gardeners and farmers who like to explore flavors that are out of usual norms.
Our current seed stock was grown by Cody Egan of Driftless Seeds in Decorah, IA. Driftless Seeds is certified organic by the Iowa Organic Certification Program.
