We originally meant to offer this amazing seed back in 2021 but we weren’t happy with our stock seeds’ germination rates back then. Seeds are now available for the 2024 growing season.
This particular variety we offer in our catalog came to us from our friend Gökhan Erdinç years ago. Çıbrıka is widely grown and used in the kitchen in Bulgaria and by Bulgarian Turks who fled during the wars in early 20th century and later migrated to join their diaspora in Northwest Turkey and other regions of Turkey. Çıbrıka is Native to the Mediterranean Region and also known as çubrika, çubritsa, çibriska and çubriza among other traditional names.
Our seed grows into a compact plant with beautiful canopy and fragrant leaves that are traditionally used to flavor meat dishes, soups and for dressing in salads. Leaves can typically be harvested in 60-75 days.
