We first grew this amazing summer squash in 2013 in Florida when I was exploring various stuffing (dolma) squash varieties from Turkey.
Vigorous plants with large, beautiful leaves produce elongated fruits with alternating dark and light green stripes. Flavorful summer squash with thick flesh that melts in mouth especially when it is used for stews and stuffing recipes. Plants produce an abundance of pollen-producing flowers which are great for stuffing and frying. Vining plants produce 60-70 days from transplanting. From Kars, homeland of emmer wheat.
