Commercially introduced by us in the U.S.
Phonetically pronounced:
Topak Adana is a traditional eggplant variety of Adana, Turkey. Fruits have a beautiful bright purple color and usually weigh in 1-2 lbs range. For best flavor, pick them before they get too big. Plants are strong and have a large canopy.
Plants did very well in our field in Florida when we used to farm there as well as on our farm in Reedsville, WV.
Our current seed stock was grown by Daniel Conrad of Kentucky.

We picked it quite small- 6 inches long. Very fine textured fruit on bushy plants. Really enjoying this one.

Abundant on the plants. Loved these aubergine. We had a cold spring, plants went in a month later so was surprised they did so well. These will be a definite for 2023.

They were great in 2021. In 2022 they did not germinate. I used those small Jiffy pellets. All the other seeds germinated with the same growing conditions. For some reason these did not.
