45-50 days. Little Gem is a single-serve romaine lettuce with tight, dense hearts and crunchy leaves. Heads are great cut in half and served with your choice of salad sauce. This variety is gaining increasing recognition from farmers’ markets and restaurants for its flavor. You can plant your seeds thicker than other lettuces as this is a space-efficient variety that doesn’t need a lot of space between plants.
