50-55 days. A colorful crisphead lettuce with red-purple leaves that have more green in them around midrib. Round, mid-size heads with nice, mild flavor. Leaves that hold salad sauces very well make Red Iceberg lettuce a great choice for wedge salads. Very attractive variety for market display.

Although there are bolt-resistant varieties, spring and fall are the best seasons to grow lettuce for best eating quality.
