50-55 days. Tall and sturdy lettuce with large leaf canopy and long, oakleaf-shaped leaves. Sweet and crisp, tolerant to heat. Italienischer is one of the largest and highest-yielding lettuces we have ever grown. Leaves can be either harvested in a cut-and-come-back fashion or plants can be harvested at full maturity.
Our current Italienischer seed stock was grown by Hank Keogh and Jo Erikson of Avoca Seed in Corvallis, OR. Avoca Seed is certified organic by Oregon Tilth.
