Description

Gorkok Acur has outstanding flavor and excellent yield. Plants outperformed other acur varieties in our field evaluations year after year. Crunchy, relatively dry and burpless fruits of this variety taste better than any cucumber in our opinion. Excellent for fresh eating, pickling or refreshing summer salads.
We prefer to harvest the fruits when young for the best eating quality. This is a traditional plant celebrated in Western Turkey and commonly found at farmers’ markets.
Our current seed stock for Gorkok was grown by Hank Keogh and Jo Erikson of Avoca Seed in Corvallis, OR. Avoca Seed is certified organic by Oregon Tilth.
