Ferasetsiz, meaning stringless in Turkish, is one of the most productive pole green bean varieties we have ever grown. Once the long vines begin producing beans, they don’t stop until getting loaded. Harvest regularly to encourage continuous production. This is a traditional snap bean variety that is still commonly grown and sold in Turkey.
Our current Ferasetsiz bean seed stock was grown by Celeste Tannenbaum in Ohio.

- Growing tips: Soak seeds in water overnight. Direct-seed after last frost. Trellis pole varieties. Pick frequently to encourage production. Re-seed every two weeks for prolonged harvest.
My first time experience with this pole bean variety has been a bit rocky, perhaps because of several dry spells and inadequate scaffolding for vigorous vines that are reaching 10 feet. This planting (seeded May 28) has lots of flowers, but fairly light fruiting as of September 8.
Grew lots of vines and beans but they are a bit stringy.
Great germination rates and they grew very well.
