Introduced by the Burgess Seed and Plant Co. in 1950’s, Early Wonder produces dark pink/red fruits with great flavor. Very productive plants are compact and perfect for container gardening as well as raised beds. Fruit size is varies from small to medium and shape is oblate/round.
This was one of the most crack-resistant varieties in 2023 for us. Fruits mature very early in the season so this seed is also a great choice for the gardeners who have short season.

Barely cover the seeds with soil and keep the soil moist for quick germination. Make sure to keep the young seedlings under good light to have strong plants with sturdy, healthy stems and leaves. Transplant after last frost in well-drained, fertile soil. Feed with liquid fertilizer once every two weeks. Water regularly especially in flower stage. Mulch and always water at plant base to minimize disease. Trellis indeterminate varieties with long vines and prune leaves if the plant canopy becomes too thick for improved air circulation.
