Mid-season, round melon with yellow, ribbed rind. Small fruits are fragrant and very sweet at full maturity. A traditional variety from Central Anatolia.
Our current seed stock was grown by Chris Smith of The Utopian Seed Project in North Carolina.

Staple hot pepper in Turkish home gardens and farmers’ markets. Prolific, long fruits are excellent for fresh eating and in salads. Great choice for market farmers. Our commercial introduction in the U.S.
Traditional acur melon in Western Turkey. Typically harvested when a few inch long. Excellent, burpless flavor. Common acur variety to be found at farmers’ markets in the region.
