Çorbacı has excellent yield and flavor. This variety is typically served in Çorbacı (meaning soup restaurant in Turkish) to accompany meals in Turkey. In addition to pickling, this early pepper is great for fresh eating and salads as well. Slender and long fruits usually curl at blossom end. This is a great choice for small CSA farmers and home gardeners who are interested in great flavor and harvesting a bounty of fruits from each plant.
Our original seed stock belongs to a commercial seed selection, Çorbacı 12, which is only available from us.

This is sweet and crunchy pepper, and does well in zone 5a. This was my first year to grow this variety. I had 12 plants and got lots of peppers. Due to its being crunchy, most of it were eaten before they reached home (kids love it!) but it’s also perfect for cooking. I plan to grow more next year. We simply love it.
