40-45 days. Cilantro is a versatile and fragrant culinary herb that is used in many kitchen traditions across the globe, typically grown for its fresh leaves, fully mature seeds or both. Leaves add unique flavor to dishes. Plants are known to bolt fast in high heat so plant either in early spring or late summer/fall.
Our current seed stock for was grown by Lindsay Klaunig of Trouvaille Farm in Ohio.

- Growth habit: Compact plants branch out from the main stem
- Growing tips: Start cilantro seeds indoors in seedling trays or small seedling pots with seed starting soil that has essential nutrients in it, 3-4 weeks prior to last frost. In cooler climates, it can also be grown in late fall. Keep the soil moist for quick germination. Make sure to keep the young seedlings under good light to have strong plants with sturdy, healthy stems and leaves. Transplant after last frost in well-drained, fertile soil enrichened with compost and other amendments. Fertilizing cilantro later in the growing season usually isn’t necessary.
