45-50 days. Barnwood Gem is another romaine lettuce with a single-serve, dense heart and delicious crunch. Great choice for gardeners with small gardens since the plants are compact. Heads can be cut in half and served with dressing. Heads are rounder than those of Little Gem. A favorite lettuce in our garden. Originally introduced by Uprising Seeds.
Our current seed stock was grown by Hank Keogh and Jo Erikson of Avoca Seed in Corvallis, OR. Avoca Seed is certified organic by Oregon Tilth.
