We vigorously selected seeds for this particular strain, which is named after the town our original seeds have been grown, on our farm in Reedsville, West Virginia. Adapazarı winter squash has a long shelf life and can be stored for months through winter.

- Growing tips: Direct-seed winter squash seeds in compost-rich, fertile and well-drained soil after last frost in spring. Water regularly at flowering stage. Mulch at plant base to retain soil moisture during growth. Watch for squash bugs and vine borers. Vining winter squash varieties require a lot of space to crawl. Winter squash thrives in warm weather. Moschata varieties are usually more tolerant to squash vine borers, thanks to their hard, difficult-to-penetrate vines.
