Phonetically pronounced: man-ee-yeh
Maniye hails us from Safranbolu, Turkey. Its excellent flavor, juicy and meaty flesh as well as its large fruits makes it one of our favorite heirloom tomatoes we grow in our field. Indeterminate plants are loaded with fruits many of which ripen all at once and keep producing until frost.
This is one of the most significant Turkish heirloom tomatoes that we know to be grown over many generations, and it took us a few seasons to secure our seed stock but we finally can release its seeds. Maniye is one of our favorite tomato varieties we grow in our field.

I grew these last summer in New Mexico, where we had lots of 100+ days. I grew them in buckets in the shade (as we do here) and they were delicious.

Planted these seeds on a Monday and they were sprouting by Thursday! All the Maniye seeds I planted have grown into sturdy little plants. Looking forward to many delicious fruits.

These toms are tasty but tend to rotting before ripe. Could have been because 2022 was colder in the spring so plants went in a month later. Will plant more in 2023 and look forward to a wonderful crop.
