A favorite watermelon among home gardeners and farmers across the U.S., Crimson Sweet produces medium size, 20-25 lb fruits with high sugar content and crunchy texture. The vines are resistant to common watermelon diseases such as anthracnose and fusarium wilt.
Seeds are small and dark. Fruits are round to ovate. Flesh is dark pink/red. Released by Kansas State University in 1963. Reliable variety for Southeast.
