Acur Melon Seeds

Cucumis melo

Botanically a melon, acur is traditionally grown in Turkey for its firm, crunchy and cucumber-like fruits for fresh eating, pickling and preserving for winter use. Plants known as Armenian Cucumber in the U.S. context for their long, white-ish fruits are also grown as acur or other synonyms such as kelek, hiti, hıtta among others which show variations from one region to another in Turkey.

    Traditional acur melon in Western Turkey. Typically harvested when a few inch long. Excellent, burpless flavor. Common acur variety to be found at farmers’ markets in the region.
