Gorkok has outstanding flavor and excellent yield. Plants outperformed other acur melon varieties in our field evaluations year after year. Crunchy, relatively dry and burpless fruits taste better than any cucumber in our opinion. Excellent choice for fresh eating, pickling or in refreshing summer salads.

Fruits need to be picked when young for the best eating quality. This is a traditional acur variety celebrated in Western Turkey and commonly found at farmers’ markets.

Our current seed stock was grown by Hank Keogh and Jo Erikson of Avoca Seed in Corvallis, OR. Avoca Seed is certified organic by Oregon Tilth.
