German Johnson is a prolific pink tomato. Mid to large size tomatoes have pink/red color with excellent flavor and creamy texture. Our plants survived much longer than some other varieties in our field, showing great tolerance to diseases.
German Johnson is one of the four parent lines that M. C. Byles of Logan, WV, used to breed Mortgage Lifter tomato in 1930’s. Indeterminate plants begin giving fruits mid-season. Our seed is the potato-leaf strain.
