A prolific cowpea variety from Western Turkey. Pods grow 6”-7” long and generally produce up to 10 peas while some pods have more. Siyirma is a general category used for cowpeas in Western Turkey and is used interchangeably with Karagoz or Karnikara. Fresh pods are at their best when steamed, stir-fried or cooked with oil olive. At full maturity, dry peas can also be used in salads. Seeds are white.
